Whatever reason you may have to celebrate or relax, you and your guests will be delighted by an idyllic garden experience and our excellent attention to detail. In the heart of our five-acre garden overlooking the Bay of Fundy, fresh-cut flowers adorn the tables, songbirds flit through the shady trees, and the earthy aromas will tantalize your sense as you enjoy afternoon tea from your customized picnic basket. All elements of our picnics are freshly crafted in our own kitchens.

Reservations during COVID times
Due to the ongoing complications of COVID-19, our summer 2021 will be even more romantic than before…
In compliance with Nova Scotia Health’s COVID-19 guidelines, Tangled Garden’s Plein-Air Picnics are now by online reservation only! Instead of jostling for our coveted Tea Room tables, ensure your private tables in advance by completing the following steps:
Elect one of your party members to complete the reservation and make menu selections on behalf of all party members.
After clicking on the BOOK NOW button at the bottom of this page, you party’s lead organizer will be redirected to our booking app, where they will select the day and time, and pay a non-refundable $10 booking deposit for each guest in attendance
Once the reservation is confirmed, your lead organizer will receive a link to our menu via email and be asked to complete a menu selection for each guests in attendance. Please note that all menu selections must be submitted no later than Monday at 11am for upcoming weekend bookings.
Upon arrival at the garden, your party will pick up their hand-woven picnic baskets and be guided to your private table. Although staff will be present on the garden grounds if guests require assistance, there is no table service for picnics.
Remaining payment of the final cheques (less the $10 booking deposit) are made on-site after you have enjoyed your picnic. Cheques can be split however desired.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does the price of a picnic basket include garden admission?
Yes, it does!
Is your Tea Room open for drop-in service?
No. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and resulting complications regarding regulations and staffing, we are unable to offer drop-in Tea Room service at this time. We can only offer the picnic basket options above, by reservation only, on the dates given.
Can I share my picnic basket with a friend, or my child?
The baskets are designed for a single person. While babes-in-arms will not be counted as separate guests, we guarantee that healthy children will have no problem finishing the contents of their very own basket.
What if it rains on the day of my picnic?
We have limited indoor and covered spaces available in case of inclement weather. You will still be able to feel fresh breezes and smell the garden’s bouquets without getting rained on, and you are welcome to wander the garden after finishing your treats (bring your own umbrella!). If the weather is looking so bad that we don’t think your experience will be enjoyable, we will send notice of cancellation and you will be given an option to rebook or have your deposit refunded.
Can my dog come with me to my picnic?
In accordance with Nova Scotia Health guidelines, we cannot allow dogs to attend food service locations. However, friendly dogs can come along on your self-guided garden tour ($10 admission fee), as long as the owner is diligent about cleaning up after their pet.
